Why We Love Ormond Beach, Florida

We have been a part of the Ormond Beach, Florida community for many years now. Most people only get to come here on vacation or when they retire, but we have the privilege to live here all year long. There are lots of things we love about this area, and we’ll share some of them here with you.

The Weather Is Amazing

There is a reason why retirees from all over the country end up in Florida. If you live here, then you know why it was named the Sunshine State. You can rely on beautiful weather for most of the year. The winters are mild, allowing you to spend time outside. Whenever you look out the window, you can see beautiful blue skies.

Of course, the summers are hot, but there are lots of ways to keep cool. One of them is going to the beach, another option is to take a dip in the cool springs. There’s also nothing wrong with relaxing inside during the hottest part of the day and sipping a margarita or two.

There’s a Great Sense of Community

It takes more than a big hurricane to get this community down. The recent storm was just one of those times when it was easy to see that Floridians stick together during tough times. We love being part of the community, and we hope we did our part by opening the restaurant as soon as we could to bring back a sense of normalcy.

We have a lot of loyal customers, too, which makes us feel valued. Of course, we love serving visitors to the town and people who come here on vacation, too. In fact, we feel privileged to spend all our days in this area of the world.

Fresh Produce All Year Round

To make delicious Mexican food, you must have fresh produce. Florida is unique, because it’s possible to purchase deliciously fresh fruits and vegetables all year round. In many other areas of the country, farmer’s markets are only open during the summer. But in Florida, you never have to go without fresh produce. That’s a good thing, because fresh ingredients make delicious dinners at our restaurant.

There’s Always Something to Do

It may have to do with the fact that Florida is full of tourist attractions, but there is always something to do. In the Daytona area, we’re not far from the world’s most popular theme parks. But there are always other things going on, such as trade conferences and a variety of cultural festivals. You can even take a cruise if you so desire. The only thing you can’t do in Florida is skiing in the mountains, but we prefer the beach anyway.

It’s Paradise for Nature Lovers

The beautiful weather makes it easy to go outside. On top of that, the Daytona Beach area is full of beautiful places to visit. There are lots of parks where you can go camping, swim in the springs, or go kayaking. There are lots of trails to go hiking in the woods, too. The sunshine also attracts plenty of wildlife, so you don’t even have to go to the zoo to watch animals. The ocean is full of interesting sea life as well. The coasts of Florida are visited by manatees, tortoises, and dolphins. You don’t even have to leave your home to see animals. If you put up a bird feeder in front of your window, you’ll always have something to watch.

The History

Florida wasn’t one of the original 13 colonies, but it’s still one of the older states. It was admitted to the union in 1845, but it has been part of the country since 1819. You can find many historical sites all over the state. These even include battlegrounds from the civil war. St. Augustine is one of the oldest cities in Florida and worth a visit, too. It has a beautiful, historic downtown district that is only accessible by foot. But you can also visit the Fountain of Youth, which may help you stay forever young. It’s certainly worth a try.

Overall Quality of Life

The Ormond Beach area is a wonderful place to live. It offers great quality of life, because there are many things to do that don’t cost anything. This includes the use of trails for hiking, biking, and jogging. The state is constantly adding more trails, which can help you enjoy nature with your family.
